SUPER NOVA WILDFLOWER

Today was #indiePitchMelee on Twitter and Instagram, so I announced the title of the next Lodespace novel. The outline stage is still a work in progress, but the outline is nearing completion, and this working name has been the name for the whole time.

You might remember a post I did a long time back that showed off some of the characters. Well, the outline evolved since then, and some of those characters got overhauls or reshapes, some name changes (the ship being renamed from the Bright Ribbit to the Super Nova Wildflower being one). So pretend that post never happened (call it premature outline giddyness!)
For now, I’ll keep the characters a secret until the novel is finalized.

Here’s the pitch!

Romi Nereid has been displaced by hundreds of years of stasis sleep. After being rescued by a salvage crew, she’s adjusted to life in Lodespace and finally landed a job working for the MSC Luxury Cruise Company as the pilot of the struggling tourist transport, the Super Nova Wildflower.

When Romi’s ex-boyfriend, Coren Rodra—whom she thought was long dead—shows up with a group of VIP clients, he doesn’t remember her. With Coren’s path to Lodespace a mystery, Romi isn’t sure if she can trust him. Worse yet, he might be a threat to the ship.

Super Nova Wildflower is a stand-alone Lodespace novel that follows a crew of alien and human characters on a mission filled with twists and turns.

I do not have an expected release date, but I’m hoping for either the end of 2024 or the first half of 2025. Stick around!
