Been a busy busy busy month!
First off, it is with a heavy heart that I report that Michael Reimer is stepping down from his role of audiobook narrator of ON THE WINDS OF QUASARS. I fully understand and respect his decision, and I am so glad I got to work with him on IN THE ORBIT OF SIRENS. Best of Luck, Mike! It’s been awesome.
That being said, I will be searching for a new audiobook narrator to replace such an awesome voice. I know it won’t be easy, but it will be interesting to see what a new narrator might do with some of the voices too. It does mean Quasars is back to square one with it’s audiobook production, so it will take time to get that back on track. More news about that to come.
AT THE THRESHOLD OF THE UNIVERSE is going through one more personal edit. It passed the “Mom-test” (aka, my mom read it and gave me her notes) and only one scene needed a major rewrite, with a few notes to clarify a few things. I am going through it fully again because it has been a little bit since I read the full book, and I wanted to give it one more pass with fresh eyes. I’m about 60% finished with this edit already and I’m still really happy with this conclusion to my trilogy.
Daniel Schmelling has also begun work on the cover for THRESHOLD. He’s off to an excellent start, the concepts he’s already bounced off me have been mind-blowing, and I can’t wait to show it to the world sometime in March!
Jason Hall is about to begin interior artwork. There’s been a few little setbacks (he has some great things going on in his life that I didn’t want to interrupt!) but I look forward to working with him in February. I’ll trickle out some of his work as he makes them (have to keep it spoiler free though!)
That’s all for January!
Cheers,
